Family and Caregiver Quick Start

Families

Make healthy living easier for the whole home

A family wellness system works best when it is visible, simple, and not built on shame. Children, caregivers, busy parents, and older adults often need structure more than motivation.

Home setup

  • Keep water visible.
  • Keep fruit, vegetables, yogurt, eggs, beans, leftovers, or other easy foods ready.
  • Schedule a shared walk or outdoor time.
  • Protect sleep routines for children and adults.
  • Use calm repetition with kids rather than food pressure.
  • Build social meals for older adults when possible.
Use medical care when it matters: seek qualified care for emergencies, pregnancy or infant concerns, eating-disorder risk, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, cancer care, heart symptoms, severe mental-health symptoms, medication conflicts, unexplained weight loss, persistent fever, blood in stool or urine, new lumps, severe pain, or rapidly worsening symptoms.
